Who provides the service

Empiria Insight UG (haftungsbeschränkt), c/o Grosch Postflex #1373, Emsdettener Str. 10, 48268 Greven, Germany. For privacy questions contact [email protected]. The application and optional Umami statistics run on the established Hetzner-hosted infrastructure in Germany.

US analysis and source requests

The drawn area and buffer are processed to obtain the requested terrain window. Its bounding extent is queried against the USGS source catalog, and required raster windows are read from public USGS-hosted objects.

Address text is sent to the Census Geocoder only when you request an address search. It is not used as an analytics parameter or saved as an account contact.

USDA soil processing is off by default. Enabling it sends the polygon boundary to USDA Soil Data Access. Enabling the separate soil map layer sends visible map extents to the USDA map service. USGS basemap requests also reveal the visible map extent and your network address to that map provider.

Private results and retention

A private access key is kept in the browser tab session storage so you can reopen that analysis in the same tab. It is not placed in page URLs. Do not share the key. Preview results expire after seven days.

There is no US account registration or paid US PDF offer in this pilot. No property-owner records are requested. Closing the tab normally removes its session storage; the server retention period is separate.

Statistics require permission

Optional self-hosted Umami statistics load only after consent and respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Refusing statistics does not disable terrain screening. The preference is stored locally and can be changed through Statistics.

Search text, addresses, drawn coordinates, private keys and contact details are not sent as analytics event parameters. Page addresses are reduced to their path. Technical availability monitoring is separate.

Questions and data requests

Contact the provider for access, correction, deletion and other applicable data rights, or to raise a privacy concern. Country-specific source use remains visible in the workflow and results.
